What are your favorite SoCal recipes?

My boyfriend is from the San Diego area, and he is visiting me in Nebraska. Our anniversary is this weekend, and I would like to make him something reminiscent of home. Does anyone have any suggestions that are chicken based? He's a fan of chicken...and Carne asada.
