Why do people always assume their dreams have some deeper meaning?

For example someone will write "ok so I had a dream last night about being named #1 Chilli con Carne eater in Texas but I live in New Jersey so whats up with that. Oh also my mom was there and she said I was pregnant but I'm a guy, so yeah what does this mean??? Do you think it's important??" I mean some dreams are plain weird but the ones on here are ridiculous
