What super tech oil filter will be the same as kohler 12 050 01-s1 oil filter for lawn mower?

The major difference is the bypass valve. The s1 will bypass at a lower pressure than an automotive filter. So if the super tech filter was to plug up for some reason the engines oil pressure would not be high enough to bypass the filter and the engine wouldn't get oil. So I guess the real question is do you ever expect the filter to plug up? The Kohler filter is a bit more money but you only change it every 100 hrs. If super tech has a filter with the same bypass pressure than it should be ok.
